Middle school is going to be way different then elementary, but there is no reason to be afraid of it. Just remember:
Don't start off annoying or rude to a teacher. Ultimately~Most teachers talk and they are going to tell another teacher how you behave, and by the time you get to an older grade, all the teachers will have dubbed you with a reputation that might not necessarily explain who you really are.
Respect the older students. Although it's not right, the older kids have the potential to bully younger children. They think that they rule the school (and have waited for the older middle school years for a long time) and they probably won't allow a younger kid to push them around. In fact, they may bully you for trying something that might have been allowed in middle school.
Expect your comfort zone to change. Everything you've known in elementary will most likely change. Teachers are less forgiving, and they won't be able to hold your hand and help you every second of the way.
Be Ready to Take Care Of Your Self. Every word you say, or every dirty look you give somebody will affect how you prevail in middle school. Everyone in middle school will take nearly everything literally. With that being said it would be a lot easier for you to not take every single word literally, as that will only cause more drama.
There Will Be More Drama. Everything in middle school seems to mean much more. Every little thing can cause a huge fight; whether that fight be over: boys, girls, who said what, who did what, who likes who, who is flirting with who. All of that will be a big deal in middle school, and be prepared for more fighting with your friends than you are used to.
In middle school, friends will come and go. Be prepared for people to walk in and out of your life. Although it is a horrible thing to have to worry about, middle school can be a pretty "dog-eat-dog" world. And even though someone seems like a good friend now, middle school might change that.
So, although there are a lot of different changes and things to worry about as you progress through your schooling career, just remember: there is always someone to help you. Even though some friends may walk out on you, there is still going to be a good friend or two that will always stick with you. And, yes, a lot of things are going to change, but once you adapt, it won't seem like such a big deal.
